1) I'm in Switzerland. Been here for nearly a week now and the weather is amazing!

2) A couple of days ago, my mum's friend, who's catsitting for us, gave us an update on Gafsho. I was worried ina she won't get along with their other cat, who's younger than she is. My mum's friend said that she's playing there normally now il7imdillah bas, and I quote, "limdallila matabee yil3ab ib al3abha". everytime she sees him playing with her scratching post, she jumps off the sofa, tahjim 3alaih, climbs the scratching post and sits on top of it witkhiza lama yin7ash loool!

3) I still don't know what I'm going to do when I get back home.

4) I'm seriously considering ditching a friend's wedding.

5) Finally fixed my template but some tweaking still needs to be done. 6ab3an madri shga3id asawi, I just change the numbers, click preview and try to notice if anything has changed!

6) Any Noor fans? My sister and I started watching min episode 65. 3abdeen i7ir! Anyone know how many episodes it is? I tried looking online bas I keep getting different answers.

7) FINALLY saw Sex & The City! 3ajeeeeeeeb and was totally worth the wait!!

8) I need to buy shoes. I only brought my Puma's and flip flops 3alaboon I have shoes here..I forgot that I took most of them back with me to Kuwait!

9) Do0da just came back from the train station with tickets to Milan for me, him and our mum.

Bubbles Nail Spa

After reading three great reviews last week, I made an appointment for today. I was planning on going to Nailtini for my pre-Switzerland mani/pedi but after reading those reviews, I just had to try Bubbles Nail Spa! It's (conventiently!) located in Al-Jassim Tower, in front of the Ice Skating Rink.
The service is - and I can't stress this enough - amazing. I was greeted with complementary tea (or coffee), cookies and a heated neck wrap while they were getting my things ready..great hand and foot massages..I've never had a foot mask and then have someone clingfilm my feet before! Oddly relaxing..massages are seriously amazing..I nearly dozed off! I loved the idea of having reclining chairs and cushions and the dividers between the chairs - a little privacy goes a long way. And I loved that they have the hook thingies next to the chairs so I won't have to put my bag on the floor!
I loved the interior and my eyes kept wandering to the displays, trying to pick a nail polish that I wanted to purchase. Their nail polish collection (Zoya and OPI) is excellent - they have over 100 colours. The only complaint I've read is that the choice is limited..but today they displayed about 50 (totally guessing the number) new colours and the owner informed me that they have over 100 colours. Their mani/pedis are on the pricey side but it is so totally worth it. I tried the Bubbilicious one today and next time I'm trying the Amazing Hot Stone one!

Ladies, get thee to Bubbles!

my favourite spoon (& an update)

it's official. i am a uni graduate! feels kind of odd..especially ina i don't know what my next step should be! a 6 month break is DEFINITELY on the menu but then what? work wila masters? o ilmushkila masters lazim abroad and it's two years..ya3ni i won't start work until i'm like 27. which tbh isn't really a huge problem because i've already taken professional training in two settings and i was an intern last semester so ya3ni wath3i zain:p bas 27 feels like eons away. in my break i'm planning on taking a couple of language courses (my italian one got postponed) and i'm planning on volunteering in a couple of places. and my professor offered to supervise my work should i choose to continue working on the pilot study that i conducted..which, i have to admit, i'm very tempted to do!

and now, for the main topic! our kitten!

we took her to the vet in mina 3abdallah ams for a follow-up. i was expecting her entire body to glow under the light in the dark room bas il7imdillah the fungal infection khaf A LOT! her tail khaf akthar shay o ana mit2akda ina it's because ishfi6at kil ilspores wihya tla7is her tail! lo they disect her i'm sure ba6inha will glow bright green under the light!! we take her to the international veterinary clinic and it's more than amazing. she's seen 2 doctors so far and dr.angelo is my favourite. gabil ams she was limping fa ams i told him to check her legs. shalha o 7a6ha 3al arth bishoofha tamshi. ishsawat il7ilwa? she sniffed the floor, walked two steps chan tinsidi7 wit6ali3na bas ashwa 6ala3 mafeeha shay. since she's too young to travel, we have to leave her here. ashwa i reserved a place for her in their cattery. it's gonna cost a lot to keep her there for over a month bas 3al aqal inkoon mit2akdeen ina she's ok.

she loves to sleep 3ala shoes and flipflops. my sister was supposed to catsit her while i was taking a shower. lama radait wila i find her here:

mu malat tifiqis?

one of her weird sleeping positions..

..i seriously don't get how she sleeps comfortably chithee!

in her new bed..

..which she's more interested in climbing, rather than sleeping in it.

wakt ilghada we bring her to the kitchen wiyana. my dad, the founder of the anti-pet campaign, has warmed up to her so much it's not even funny. awal makanat ta36ee wayh. he walks towards her and whistles and she looks at him and walks away wuhwa igoolaha "ta3alay yalsheefa! kilma mini wtin6ardain min ilbait!" lol bas al7een 9ar rifeejha wakt ilghada. she climbs his chair before he comes o it7i6 her paws on the edge of the table and sniffs the food o lama my dad comes tig3ad under his chair and plays with his dishdasha, scratch and bite his feet (she does that to all of us, do cats have a foot fetish?) and then she squeezes herself between his foot and slipper 3ashan yif9akh'ha witnam 3alaiha!

ups and downs

first of all, lay6oofkum when the people spoke- part 3! do0da and i went on sunday o 7ada 3ajeeb. as much as i loved the previous ones, i think this one is my favourite. there will be more screenings and the dvd will be available in a month at the graduates society.

now. my bf and i had a moment yesterday where we each decided to kinda point out like how our friendship has affected us. tres brief &mushtastic moment. expressing my feelings (verbally) doesn't exactly come easily, ya3ni i show it bas it's like asti7i to actually say it. and she's the same way. so our moment yesterday was honestly the highlight of my week, 3yooni ghorigat when i read it. and now. she goes and does something that she knows i am against. if the 200 emails that i have written on this matter since 2003 weren't enough then i don't know what is. ya3ni laish tgooleenly (o bidoon muqadimat ba3ad) 3an what u did when u know it'll piss me off? hasn't he put u through enough? u said so last night ina how much it affected u etc. why do u keep letting him back into your life? this has been going on FOR YEARS o bas khala9 malait. ya mama fihmay 3ad. nothing good can come out of it. the worst part is i don't even have the heart to say "i told u so".
